How do I book a session?

It's pretty easy! Go to our booking page and select your session type. Then select your day and time, pay your deposit, and voila!  Please call before booking events. To book The Heirloom Co, click here!


Some photographers don't take photos of people who have differing political or religious beliefs. Are you one of those?

Nope! The Heirloom Co  does not discriminate for any reason, so we don't care who you are- as long as you're buying, we're  selling.

I can’t find a photographer I can afford! What do I do?

This is a common question most people have come to us with. Photographers can be expensive for some, but choosing a good photographer should never be based on price alone. Always select a photographer based on their quality of work. If you encounter a photographer who is too expensive, and you sincerely can’t afford quality photos, you could always ask for a small discount, or ask to be set up on a payment plan.


Will you allow us to set up a payment plan?

Of course! I can easily set up a payment plan for you. All sessions must be paid-in-full before your session or event, and your payment plan will help you make that possible. Call for details!

How far in advance should we book?

Sometimes, we book weddings and other events more than a year in advance. Our busiest season falls early March through late November, and we  recommend booking as far in advance for those months as possible, to make sure you secure your date.


Sometimes, our clients reschedule their sessions, so we may be able to accommodate same-day or same-week sessions or events. Please call and inquire!

What is required to book a session, and what if I need to cancel or reschedule?

All events, collections, and sessions require a 50% deposit and a signed contract to reserve your date. Your date is still available to the public for booking until your deposit and contract is received. If you have booked a session that doesn't require a deposit, the full amount is due at the time of booking. 


If you need to cancel or reschedule a session or mini session, you may do so within 24 hours of initially booking your session without being charged a $100 service fee. The cancellation and rescheduling policy for our sessions and events is unique to each session or event and can be found in your service agreement.


How do I pay the deposit and get the contract to you?

We accept cash, money orders, cashier's checks, Venmo transfers, and credit or debit cards. We do not accept personal checks. Contracts can be signed in person, or online with e-signatures. Contact us for more details!


How much does a wedding package cost and what do they include?

We have several wedding packages to choose from, and the cost depends on the features you have selected.  All packages include online hosting of images with high resolution files.  *All packages  are subject to a 9% sales tax.


How much do you charge for travel?

Travel costs are included for all weddings and sessions within 50 miles of out central Alabama studio. All weddings and sessions in excess of 50 miles will incur a travel charge which will be specified in your contract.


What should we wear for our session or mini-session?

Most clients love wearing lightweight, light-colored clothing, to make moving around more comfortable, and because lighter colored clothes aren’t quite so hot.


Most clients avoid patterned clothes and opt for solid-colored clothing, to make sure the focus is on their smiling faces and not what they're wearing. No matter what, wear what you look and feel your best in!

Will we receive an online gallery?

Yes! All packages include an online password-protected gallery of images. You have permission to post the images on your personal social media pages as long as you credit The Heirloom Co by tagging us!


What is your refund policy? 
We do not offer refunds of any kind except as specified in individual contracts for services. 

How many images will we get?

The number of images you receive depends on which Collection you choose. Some of our Collections are longer than others, which means you’ll get more photos with those Collections. Our smallest collection comes with 20 images. Our largest collection is in excess of 700 images.

How long will it take to receive the images?

Smaller collections (four hours or less of shooting time) will usually be ready within 7 days, but can take up to two weeks depending on the season. Longer collections (over four hours of shooting time) will be ready in three weeks or less. Additional time may be required for special orders and shipping time, or events exceeding 7 hours. Weddings can take 12 weeks.


You may be pleasantly surprised and receive your set much faster than quoted, depending on what sets are being edited ahead of yours.

Do you do cultural & faith-based weddings?

No matter where we are from, the covenant of love is universal: marriage means two people becoming one. However, the way that people express that covenant is as unique as the couple and the cultures they represent. The consultants at The Heirloom Co are experienced in planning weddings of many traditions and secular or faith-based backgrounds. We are experts at ethnic and religious customs, and excel in meeting the special cultural needs of our clients. With The Heirloom Co  at your side, you really can have the best of both worlds!

Do you offer any collections for smaller weddings? We only need you for a few hours!

Yes! Elopements and weddings with fewer than ten guests start at $650.Please contact us for more information!
